7 November 2008 | TMA (UK) DIRECTOR IS WORLD'S BEST
TMA (UK) board member and past chairman Alan Tilley has been named this year's winner of the prestigious TMA Global Chairman's Award.

The award recognises Alan's contribution both in Britain and abroad to the work of the association, which has 8,300 members worldwide. It will be presented at TMA (UK)'s annual conference on “Entrepreneurial Turnarounds”, to be held on 13 November at the Royal College of Physicians in London's Regent's Park.
Alan is currently chairman of Bryan, Tappy & Tilly, independent turnaround practitioners of London and Frankfurt. He retired in April as Managing Director of the European practice of Huron Consulting Corporate Advisory Services and had previously been European MD of Glass & Associates, which was taken over by Huron in early 2007.
Alan has been a board member of TMA (UK) since 2003 and was chairman in 2005 and 2006. He has served on the TMA International Committee since 2004 and was a member of its Awards Committee for three years. He also chaired the steering committee that organised TMA's inaugural European Conference earlier this year.
TMA International President Bill Skelly said: “For his tireless work in promoting the concept of corporate renewal throughout Europe and growing TMA's international presence, we are pleased to honour Alan Tilley with the 2008 Chairman's Award.”
And Alan's colleague on the TMA (UK) board, David Hole of Alexander Business Consulting, added: “Alan's footprint is both broad and deep. He has consistently brought professionalism to the TMA UK chapter and given significant free time to help TMA grow in the UK and beyond.
“Alan's beliefs are firmly rooted in TMA's principles of fixing broken businesses and saving corporate value. He is a consummate ambassador for TMA.”
