RCapital has access to over €50m in funds and will consider transaction sizes from €500,000 with an average size of €10m.

RCapital was formed in June 2004 as a new fund entering the UK & Europe and is especially geared to assess and action corporate restructuring deals against tight timelines.

The principals of RCapital are experienced entrepreneurs and turnaround specialists having completed a wide variety of successful transactions over the last 15 years.

RCapital looks for businesses that can be successful through restructuring. This will mean the underlying business is profitable, but is not currently generating the cash required to survive. RCapital likes difficult and complex deals.

RCapital will work closely with management, existing debt providers and shareholders.

Services to Lenders

• InSightSM inventory appraisals and asset valuations (with the ability to write a cheque for the appraised value) bring the best resolution to the company's difficulties. This may entail using administration procedures to protect the company whilst allowing the business to carry on trading, or making voluntary arrangements to restructure the business. Where the relationship with a lender has broken down or a lender is uncomfortable about their exposure, RCapital will consider buying the debt which will often avoid them having to appoint an Insolvency Practitioner.
